A Snider sporting rifle. NVN. Mk ll Snider breech with Sniders Patent and the Snider mark of intertwined S and an arrow; with leather covered nipple protecter on brass chain; cupped hammer with engraving. Half stock with steel furniture, 21½” barrel with folding ladder rear sight graduated 1,2 and 3 to 300 yards. Signed lock (J C & A LORD) with border engraving. Barrel marked as Lord, London, Birmingham & Bombay with remnants of original colour, now mostly faded; clean and bright bore. Birmingham black powder proof.
